Dr. Kritika Paudel prides herself in being able to meet patients where they are in their dental journey and looks forward to helping them achieve a healthy mouth and a smile they love.
Dr. Paudel grew up in Montgomery county and attended Watkins Mill High School, where she graduated top of her class. She then went on to attend UMBC in a merit based, full tuition scholarship. There Dr. Paudel received her bachelors in Biological sciences. During her junior year in college, Dr. Paudel was part of a group that travelled to Panama and provided dental and medical services to over 1500 people. That mission trip was all Dr. Paudel needed to realize that dentistry and compassionate patient care was the path forward for her.
Upon completion of her bachelors degree, Dr. Paudel went on to attend the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. There, she was a part of the Prosthodontic Honor Society. During her fourth year, Dr. Paudel also completed an oral surgery clerkship that taught her a variety of surgical techniques. An active member of American Dental Association and the Maryland State Dental Association, Dr. Paudel continues to stay abreast of new techniques and technology in dentistry with continuing education courses.
During her free time, Dr. Paudel enjoys cooking, writing, traveling and spending time with her family. She recently welcomed her first baby girl, who keeps her pretty busy!
Dr. Diego Maldonado is a caring, confident practitioner, with a goal of providing comfortable patient care. He grew up in Miami, Florida with a passion for athletics, playing football and lacrosse in high school. Following graduation with an IB diploma from Coral Reef High School, he went on to study biology at the University of Florida.
Dr. Maldonado received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He completed an oral surgery clerkship with advanced training in complex extractions and was a member of the Prosthodontic Honor Society. In his third year, he was given the unique opportunity to provide treatment to underserved communities in Honduras on a dental mission trip. Dr. Maldonado was awarded The Maryland Society of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons Award for excellence in surgical aspects of dental implants.
Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Maldonado completed an additional year of training at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Completion of this optional residency program allowed continued development as a competent practitioner and widened his scope of practice. Dr. Maldonado strongly values continuing education and is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He is also fluent in Spanish and French, allowing him to communicate effectively with patients of various cultures. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, sports, exploring the outdoors and traveling. Dr. Maldonado is excited to meet the needs of his patients at Kopit Dental Care.
Dr. Michael Pesin received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland at College Park. He then went on to earn his dental degree from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland in 2004. After dental school, he completed his dental residency with the Veteran Affairs hospital in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Pesin is very passionate about dentistry and providing the best care for his patients. To this day, there are a few dozen patients that come to see Dr. Pesin from La Plata, Southern Maryland, where he spent the first 7 years of his career.
Dr. Pesin holds fellowship from world renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) as well as International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Pesin is married to Dr. Kopit. Together they have 2 boys, Zachary and Leo. When not at the office, Dr. Pesin likes to spend time with family, rock climb and travel.
Dr. Anna Kopit graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery Dental School, University of Maryland. She attended a residency program at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kopit provides quality Family and Cosmetic dentistry with great warmth and care.
